Welcome to Mokena Skills Private Limited. We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, store, and share your information when you interact with our website, digital portals, mobile applications, or enroll through our Affiliate Training Centers (ATCs).
This document complies with the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 of India and other relevant prevailing IT laws. By using our services, you consent to the data practices described herein.
Section 2 Information We Collect
To provide you with educational services, certifications, and portal access, we must collect specific personal data. This includes:
Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- Full Name, Date of Birth, Gender
- Contact Number and Email Address
- Residential Address and Pincode
- KYC Documents (e.g., Aadhaar Card) for official registration and identity verification.
Academic & Usage Data
- Previous educational qualifications
- Course enrollment details and progress logs
- Assessment scores, grades, and certificates
- IP address, device type, and portal login timestamps.
Section 3 Proctoring & Exam Data Collection
Online Examination Integrity
To maintain the strict validity of our certifications, online assessments may utilize automated or human-assisted proctoring technologies.
- Camera & Microphone Permissions: During an active exam session, we may request access to your device's camera and microphone to monitor for malpractice.
- Screen Monitoring: We may monitor your screen activity during the exam to ensure you do not switch tabs or access unauthorized materials.
- No Background Recording: Camera and microphone access is strictly limited to the duration of the exam. We do not track or record your device activities once the exam portal is closed.
Section 4 ATC Data Responsibilities
Students are frequently enrolled into Mokena Skills programs through our authorized Affiliate Training Centers (ATC).
- ATCs act as Data Fiduciaries on the ground level. They are contractually obligated to collect student KYC and personal data securely and upload it directly to our central encrypted portal.
- ATCs are strictly prohibited from retaining local copies of sensitive student KYC data or using student contact details for unauthorized third-party marketing or telecalling.
- If an ATC breaches student privacy, Mokena Skills reserves the right to terminate their affiliation immediately and support the student in legal recourse.
Section 5 How We Use Your Data
We process your personal data exclusively for lawful and legitimate educational purposes:
- To create, manage, and authenticate your student portal account.
- To deliver course content, track academic progress, and conduct assessments.
- To verify your identity before issuing official certificates and diplomas.
- To send critical administrative updates (e.g., exam dates, password resets, enrollment status).
- To resolve technical grievances or customer support inquiries.
Section 6 Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure
We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
We may share your data strictly on a need-to-know basis with:
- Assessment Agencies: Authorized third-party invigilation bodies required to evaluate your exams and process results.
- Government Bodies (NSDC/Skill India): Only if your enrollment falls under a specific government-subsidized scheme that mandates reporting for official tracking and employment portals.
- Legal Enforcement: If required by law, court order, or government regulation to protect our rights or ensure public safety.
Section 7 Data Security & Retention
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers located within India, adhering to strict industry-standard cybersecurity protocols to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Retention Policy: We retain your academic records, certificates, and basic profile data permanently to allow for lifetime certificate verification by future employers. Proctoring data (videos/images from exams) is securely deleted after a standard retention period (usually 90 to 180 days) post-result declaration, unless flagged for malpractice.
Section 8 Your Privacy Rights
Under the DPDP Act, you are granted specific rights regarding your personal data:
Right to Access
Request a summary of the data we hold about you.
Right to Correction
Request updates or corrections to inaccurate profile details.
Right to Erasure
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal/academic retention limits).
